101 Things
101 Things in 1,001 Days (Second Round)
This is my 2nd 101 Things in 1,001 Days Challenge. I started my first one on January 1, 2008 (when I was 22) and I finished it on September 28, 2010 (when I was 25). Now I’m starting my new on on January 1, 2011 (I’m 25) and I will finish it on September 28, 2013 (I’ll be 28). Unlike last time, at the 500 day mark, I am allowing myself to change up to 25 items to better suit my life at that point. I realize that there may be things that I come up with between now and Day 500 that I want to accomplish. So there you go. Take a look and if you join in with your own, please let me know!
101 Things in 1,001 Days
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Start Date: January 1, 2011. End Date: September 28, 2013.
